Wow and Wow again. This guy is 75 and I would defy anyone to hold a 2 hour concert together like he did at Newark last night accompanied by his fantastic Wildcats :D

He played to a near full house, only being off stage a few times for his amazing 4 guitarists, drums and keyboard backing group the Wildcats to perform some great instrumentals.

Marty Wilde still has the voice and charisma to hold an audience.

He told stories of his life, his fellow performers(many sadly gone) and sang so many songs that we knew and loved from the late 50's early 60's.He had us clapping and asking for more.

He finished with a near faultless performance of Eric Claptons 'Tears In Heaven' but then came back on for another rock and roll medley.

A seemingly humble guy still loving what he was born to do :D :D

That's great Marty put on such a great show Sandra and you enjoyed it so much.

Don't you think a lot of the older stars are better live than on record?

One of Marty Wilde's children was delivered (at home) by Tony Blackburns Dad (a GP) :)

We didn't know that. Never thought of Tony Blackburn as a midwife.
We'll watch out for him in the next " Call The Midwife series"

Back once again last night, this time in Hunstanton to see the legend that is MARTY WILDE.His 'Born to rock 'n' roll show
with the super talented WILDCATS just hits the spot. The tireless Marty, now 77, belting through as much rock'n'roll as you could wish for.We had a fantastic night.Such a genuine nice fella too.Appreciative of his audience and paying tribute to those singers sadly gone.Still hitting the high notes to Jezebel too :D :D

I have a DVD of Marty Wilde and his daughter Kim and son Ricky joined him on stage. Ha ha speaking of Ricky Wilde, my sister hated him because they called him England's answer to Donny Osmond and she was hardcore Donny. I played Ricky's singles all the time to annoy her. LOL
