Just seen this on Facebook, although I knew it was coming.

Next month [September-----new cd called "Partners" from Barbra Streisand.

Stevie Wonder.

Right at the top of my wish list--cannot wait !!!!!!!!!!

I haven't bought a Streisand cd for years as the last one I bought bored the pants off me, I didn't even listen to it all the way through - she has made some great albums in the past!

ok. yeah my Mum loves everything Streisand, but she does dislike some of her stuff.

I love the film the Way Were ....hubby doesn't understand why I cry every time at the end ....my Mum loved the film ...and that doesn't help!! ...she has an amazing talent ...unique ....love her films ......

Great film---plus great song---played at my lovely Mathis friend , Ann 's funeral. When you really listen to the words, it makes sense.

Don't care for these "duet" albums especially those where the other singer in the duet is dead and they've added his/her voice to the other's. I see Elvis Presley is one of the singers on this new Streisand album. Did she ever sing with him when he was alive? I doubt it, so it looks like this is one of those kinds of albums. I shan't be buying it.

I am prety sure that she never sang with Elvis--but there have been quite ac few "duet" albums around, and I love them.

Elvis was going to be in A Star Is Born ...with her but turned it down as he did not want a role,that would associate him with a drug addict ...saw on a documentary about The Musicals .....

I agree Jon. I don't like any of those duet albums, except for the one of Matt Monro and Matt Monro Jnr. Some of the songs are better than the originals.

I can't believe Barbra Streisand agreed to this promotional stunt. She used to be only focussed on making the highest quality music in the 60s, 70s, and 80s.
