Has anyone heard of him ? I hadn't until two minutes ago when I read the forthcoming release from Jasmine Records so had a listen on Youtube . Nick has a very pleasant voice so I may well add this cd to my collection.
I also read he passed away in 2012.

No sorry Karl, have to confess we've never heard of Nick Noble . but have just listened to a couple of his songs...Moonlight Swim and Hello Out There, and admit he has a very pleasant voice, and strangely enough while on the subject of unheard singers, on Facebook this morning I listened to the video clip of Gene McDaniels singing "Portrait Of My Love," for the first time and I really liked it. :D

I don't know what song you heard but he sounds in the same tradition as Dean Martin, Jerry Vale & Eddie Fisher. I read he came along too late just as Rock & Roll was starting.
"Robert's Quote" He sounds like a country singer, is that a bad thing? There are lots of excellent country singers.

Have just seen some more about Nick Noble, and he did record some country songs. He made some nice recordings with the popular songs of that time in the 50s and 60s, one in particular I've just seen titled Relax, and then in the 70's he rejoined his former mentor Lew Douglas and wrote and recorded Country Music. He died in March 2,012 at the age of 85 and according to his daughter he recorded 4 Albums and 109 Singles and earned a Gold Record and Four awards from the American Society of composers authors and publishers.

Karl, why should being a country singer be a bad thing :!:  ...........I was just stating that he sounds like a country singer to me on the song I heard on YouTube ...............Jim Reeves is regarded as a country singer ........and I LOVE Jim Reeves.

I am not saying it's a bad thing to be a country singer but you made it sound like you were dismissing country singers, read my previous post again!
As for country singers who I think are excellent - naming a few
Waylon Jennings, Faron Young, Alan Jackson, Vince Gill, Kenny Chesney, George Strait etc:
I never really thought of Jim Reeves as a country singer, he was a singer who recorded nice music infact I Like him more now than I did before.

Lots of people sing country songs, Dean Martin, Tom Jones etc; doesn't mean they are country singers but don't let it raise your BP Robert it's merely a discussion.
