I watched part of it Robert and thought it was sensational.

If today's dancers could dance like that!
But I really don't like YouTube.

I only look at it if there's something I need to find out about.

I just watched the full routine. Yes, very impressive at the end.
I like Begin the Beguine, Robert.

Jeff, I thought you mentioned on here once, that you didn't like the tune or (Artie Shaw's) version of the tune

I love Artie Shaw's version.
I don't particularly like it sung, because the lyrics are not among Cole Porter's best. Perhaps that young male singer from Canada with the initials MB that I promised to never mention again in the forum had recorded the song and I didn't like his version.

Is that what you're remembering?

Did you get Ellie's clown portrait yet or any other Ellie items?

Answer to question #1.................perhaps, perhaps, perhaps
Answer to question #2..................
no....................I didn't like the clown photograph, and the other items were too expensive, and would have been even more expensive to ship over here

the tap shoes sold for over $2 thousand. But in their latest auction there was an original collectible photo of Ellie, from the Broadway Melody of 1938, which I was lucky enough to win

Nice picture of Ellie Robert, and you know how we like the dance sequence Begin The Beguine.
Artie Shaw was a great musician, and yet "Begin The Beguine" was not his favourite tune and he would have preferred this song to be on the B side of "Indian Love Call"
