I don't think there's a previous section for U2, but thought it worth a mention that they performed live from the roof of Broadcasting House last night, to publicise their new album. A large crowd that gathered down below really seemed to appreciate this free impromtu concert.

Yes, an impromtu 4 song gig Marian, but did you know Bono called Chris Martin (Coldplay) a w.a.-.k.-.r. live on Radio 1 yesterday  the Beeb apologised for Bono's blue tongue straight away

Good to hear the BBC apologised anyway.

I thought Bono was sensible enough to mind his language, especially when younsters are listening, as it happened during the early part of the day  mind you, I bet the youngsters of today can teach Bono a few word's or two Marian

It seems the 'in thing' to do nowadays when one has a new album to plug.
Swear, bed partners, choice of recreational drug, it's all fair game.

Another reason why I enjoyed The Ultimate Performer dvd.
Just makes one yearn for a different age.

However, having said that, I have see U2 live and they were awesome.

Hi Robert

Yes, not like me at all, but just can't sleep at the moment (stress at work :()

Watched Match of The Day, then popped on-line for a bit.
Amanda came down at 2am to see if I was alright, we had tea and toast and watched 30 mins of 'The Fall Of The Roman Empire' :)

So I eventually made it back to bed dreaming of Sophia Loren, I mean Amanda. :)

U2 is the definition of has-beens. And that man dares to criticise Chris Martin, who's written easily 25 classics and soon-to-be standards; whereas the U2 guy has written no more than five: One, With Or Without You, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, Mysterious Ways, and I can't think of a fifth!

Gray - That was very nice of Amanda to check on you. :)

I thought you would come to Chris Martin's defence, Jeff  :)
