Victoria's new cd is called "The Forgotten Gershwin" [or similar],
and one of the tracks is a duet with Russell of "Isn't it a Pity"--not the one that is currently on another thread, that Matt sings.

I'm surprised it is on this cd called "The Forgotten Gershwin", as I have quite a few recordings of this song---including Johnny Mathis--which was actually the first time I heard this song, about 50 years ago.

Also Barbra Streisand sang it on her first cd released after her marriage to James Brolin--and until now that was my favourite version---but I also love Victoria's and Russell's version--his voice sounds quite different obviously, but he suits this type of song.

On another cd he duets with Denise Van Outen "Baby it's cold outside"--also a really nice version--both available to download from Amazon at only 69p each !!

Who is Victoria Hart?

I hope you have heard Michael Feinstein and Rosemary Clooney's recording of Isn't It A Pity. It is exquisite. :)

Paul, Victoria Hart is a new young jazzy style singer--this is about her 3rd cd.

Yes I do have Michael and Rosemary singing "Isn't it a pity"---it is over 7 minutes long, and is on Michael's album "Pure Gershwin "-great cd.

I love both singers, and this song too.

So happy you have the Pure Gershwin CD. This and his Live at the Algonquin are his best. Later he recorded with orchestras and attempted to be a romantic balladeer. It didn't work for me. He's better singing at the piano.

I have mentioned this elsewhere I know, but my fave album of Michael Feinstein's is "The MGM album"---also "Hopeless Romantics" wth George Shearing.
