Are there anyCeltic Thunder or Michael Buble fans

Post by Pam » Sat Jun 20, 2009 2:06 am

About a year ago I discovered Celtic Thunder. There are very talented young men and sing songs with tunes and words and not that AWFUL rap stuff.
Another favorite is of course Michael Buble. I believe Michael has said Matt was one of the people who he patterned himself after. I have seen Michael in concert and in October I will see Celtic Thunder.

Hi again Pam--you have answered my question about Celtic Thunder-I will check them out in Anazon or Youtube.

I envy you getting to see Michael Buble Live. He has been in concert a few times in London, but I was never able to get there.

Mariana,
Michael was wonderful. If he comes back and you get a chance go see him, he puts on a wonderful show. While you are on youtube take a look at Westlife's version of "You raised me up" or "The Rose". I like them as well

Michael had a dvd out a couple of years ago and it was just about exactly what I saw in his concert. Someone has posted a bunch of video's of Matt on youtube, I think of his Australian concert of 67. I am so sorry I never saw him in concert. when he was here in the states I was not in a position to go to Vegas. Oh well I do love the video's and I have 2 coming from England and 1 from Amazon USA. Think I will have to use my computer to do PAL since the US is NTSC - but they are video's just the same

I checked out Amazon-and there were anumber of Celtic Thunder albums--but none with the "Listen" feature. Then I checked out Ronan Tynan, and I was able to listen to some tracks--and I was surprised at what a fine voice he has--I mean, surprised in the fact that he is such a good singer, and I for one have never heard of him before.

I do not know if you have ever heard of Brian Kennedy, who is another Irish singer with an amazing voice--his version of "You raise me up" is just about the best I have heard.

Some of the dvds now-especially the most recent one from Matt are multiregion, so they will play on any dvd.

hey Mariana
go to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFR7Sm7XImE
to see celtic thunder do "Steal Away". It was in a concert about 2 years ago so the little boy on the end is 16 much taller with a deep voice. then in youtube search celtic thunder for other songs.
I must say I love talking to you. One of my husbands co-workers is from England and he used to bring me curly-whirrly until my dentist told me if I did not quit eating them he would turn off my nitrous oxide during procedures. I also have 3 Paddington Bears all from england during various relatives visits. Do you watch Top Gear? (I know my mind flits around alot)

Hi Pam.

Do you get to watch Top Gear over there, if so, on which TV channel ?? you seem to like a lot of things British, like one of our other American friends Paul jh :) :) ................I watched the opening of the new series of Top Gear tonight, and The Stig (stunt driver) was revealed as none other than....................................Michael Schumacher................but I think it might have been a wind up.

They recently got Top Gear in Kansas where some friends of ours live. They couldn't believe Jeremy Clarkson, called him an obnoxious so and so, and said if he ever knocked on their door they would punch him on the nose! :o
Marian :D
I don't belive the Stig reveal either Robert.

Hi Pam-I loved Celtic Thunder and "Steal Away"-I shall check out more of their music.

I know little about "Top Gear"-but I have heard of it, of course.

What exactly is Nitrous Oxide at your dentists--is it a pain killing injection.?

Last time I had a filling--about a month ago, I did not have an injection-and although it hurt a bit--especially when she told me she could see my nerve moving !!--when she finished, it was amazing, as I had no numb mouth, I could talk normally, and no soreness--it was definately worth going through a little pain , to feel so good afterwards.

Hey Mariana,
I am so glad you enjoyed Celtic Thunder. Nitrous Oxide is laughing gas, it takes the edge off what ever they are doing and I love the stuff. Now I am not totally terrified of the dentist.

Oh, I see. I remember having gas to have teeth out when I was very young-but it always made me feel ill afterwards--they just give injections now-although again, the last 2 I had out, I did not need an injection, as they were a little loose anyway !!

Oh I love the stuff, it is like a small glass of wine. I even want a sniff before I pay my bill - espically before I pay the bill

I remember it from my childhood but don't think it is still used for dental work in the U.K. although it might be. It sounds like the gas and air we get in childbirth. That was a life saver for me!
