For all you Michael Buble fans [sorry Paul !! ], I have just preordered his new disc "Crazy Love" from Amazon-it comes as a single disc or a disc with dvd.

I recognised some of the song titles-but it also includes the one that has been on radio a lot lately "Havn't met you yet"--which is really catchy. Not available till the end of October.

Hi Marian

I still think Michael's smashing! Keep meaning to check out his tour dates - think he must be due a European tour soon - unless I've missed it!

My problem is that I like to hear him do standards. But of course there are is a lot of stuff he's written himself, but I prefer something I can sing along to from the 1st time I hear it!

He has had a "live" album out, fairly recently but it was mostly repeats of tracks he has sung before.

Hi Mariana, Sir Tel played Michaels new song this morning, and I really like it. The arrangement is quite 70/80s retro, reminded me a bit of Supertramp!

It always reminds me of that cute song "Bubbly" by Colbie Callat--which goes something like--

"It starts in my toes,
And wrinkles my nose"

Or something like that.

I guessed that you would like it, Mike.

:!: Well this is the biggest shock of 2009 for me.

Haven't Met You Yet is #4 on the iTunes singles chart and the song is expected to easily make the top 10 on the official single chart Sunday.

Really a surprise. Yes, it's nice to have something different in the top 10 than the usual pop/rap/hip hop songs, but I never would have thought Michael Bublé would make the top 10. I guess what is not a surprise is that I don't like the song or the vocals. :)

Michael Buble is on "the x factor" next weekend---as is "Westlife", who have a new single due Monday, and a cd next month [hot news from my sister].

I am still waiting for my new Michael Buble cd to arrive.

Listening to Mr Buble on Graham Norton, if I closed my eyes he sounded like....Nils Lofgren!
(One for the delinquents among us  )

Thanks,Robert. :)

(His version of Goin Back on his Live mid-Seventies album is rather fine.)

..and he still does the Flip ya Flip trampoline onstage

Mariana - did your album turn up yet? Do you like it? I downloaded it off i-tunes and think its pretty good. Aparrt from 'I just haven't met you yet', I really like his rendition of 'Cry me a river'- very Bondesque!. 'All of me' is a terrific cover of an old standard that I had never heard of before. There is also a very light and frothy bonus track called 'Some kind of wonderful' - it has a very early 60s sound to it, with lots of jaunty violins and saxophone - you expect Craig Douglas or Bobby Vee to be singing it! I love it!
