Thanks to Marian, I have had a chance to watch this program. Dame Shirley looks fit and much younger than 69. She has begun to hit low notes with a new richness in tone and she is not so over the top as before. Indeed "You Needed Me" was sung with so much conviction that one thinks that the Dame is singing from experience having loved and lost countless times before. Many firsts in this program include Moonraker which she has never sung live before. She also sang Liza Minnelli's Maybe This Time very well before launching into her medley of hits like Never Never Never, Kiss Me Honey Honey, As I Love You and I Am What I Am.
Her new Rock song The Living Tree sounds like a potential hit. Maybe when the official DVD hits the streets in summer, the two cut songs - The Greatest Love Of All & Here's To Life - will be restored.
