Anyone like Laura Nyro? She's known for her songs "Wedding Bell Blues" (famoulsy covered by the Fifth Dimension) and "Stoney End" (recorded by Barbra Streisand on her album of the same name). I rather like her. Sadly, she died from ovarian cancer at the age of 49 in 1997, but her music lives on.

I do know the name and I have heard some of her music--but not a great deal--I certainly had not heard that she had died.

I remember her name very well too, but I did not know either that she had passed away
