Matt at the BBC

Post by Michele Monro » Fri Mar 06, 2009 10:05 am

I am sorry to say that the new project 'Matt at the BBC' has been delayed again because of problems in locating the footage. It has been done now but it has to be converted to DigiBeta before Abbey Road can tackle the edits etc etc and we cannot design the cover until the photos arrive from the BBC library. There is also the matter of EMI's legal department getting clearance on the footage

The new date allocated is 27th April and fingers crossed it will stay at that. I would prefer the delay rather than be told we couldn't have all the footage requested!!

Thanks Michele, can't be helped, these things happen. We've had so much to look at, listen to and enjoy recently, so we still have this project to look forward to. :) :)

The Ultimate Performer was a real treat ED wasn't it and we also loved the Liberace show, :)

Hi Sandra, I don't think Amazon have a price listed yet and you would possibly get quicker delivery from Amazon as Play are in Jersey or Guernsey, I always forget which!
I bought The Ultimate Performer from HMV and they are based in Guernsey I think, and I received my copy on the actual release date.
It's not the cost though, I would have paid twice Play's price and still consider it wonderful value.
When you consider all the dedicated work and hours spent producing a gem like this, I think it should be priced more highly.
Marian

Can't wait.

Actually, Amazon are pretty good, if you manage to get an item pre-ordered, they will match the cheapest price on the net regardless.

I got the 2-disc Quantum of Solice dvd for 7 quid, even though I pre-ordered at £12.99.

Hi Marian,
I DO agree with you.I was expecting to pay double for what is bound to be a fantastic treasure.£7.99 seems to under value it.
Sandra.
