The last man out!

Fantastic news from Chile that the last trapped man is out and all 33 miners have been saved from the San Jose mine. A most wonderful achievement by everyone concerned. :D :D :D

Yes, isn't it nice to read some good news for a change Marian. Except for one man who has a touch of pneumonia, they all seemed to be in remarkably good shape considering their ordeal.
One of them even joked and gave out pieces of rock as souvenires. :)

I could not believe that I sat watching the rescue all day on Sky News--but it was all so gripping, emotional, happy, exciting--far better than any film--although I have heard that there are plans already for a film of the event. One hero who seems to have been overlooked somewhat--the guy they sent down the mine to help the others out--and in fact, I am sure that he was "the last man out" a true hero !! Many of the so called "heroes" today, do not deserve that title---eg --football players for a a start !!!!

The entire process.. indeed a miracle!! So many brilliant minds together so the miners could be saved. All the time I was thinking something so serious... 800 workers... And yet fighting in another part of the world continues.. Perhaps there is no connection, but when these things happen it makes you wonder about men and women dying needlessly.........in a stupid war......
