A Jack Jones Question.

Perhaps Marian can answer this.

I was talking music to a friend yesterday and we discussed Jack Jones and he said he liked JJ singing Danny Boy. Now I have seen JJ several times in concert and have just about all his records if not them ALL and I have NEVER heard him sing this song. I asked if he meant Tom Jones as Tom absolutely slaughtered the song on an album years ago (and yes I am a TJ fan but don't like him singing everything).

It would be interesting to see if JJ has indeed performed this song.

Karl, I never heard JJ sing it, but I know John Gary has. Tom Jones' version is on an album here called "The Tom Jones Fever Zone". My Dad has a lot of his albums, but I can only deal with the hits. I think Tony Christie was a whole lot better and should have been bigger here in America. I don't know if he had stuff released here in the US.

Johnny Mathis recorded Danny Boy, many years ago--rarely, if ever heard on radio.
