X-FACTOR 2006
Very simlar to AMERICAN IDOL/CANADIAN POP IDOL-some weeks it's exciting but now the final is nearing.paul jh wrote:Is this X Factor programme worth watching when I'm in London? Is it similar to American Idol? Does it focus on music or something else? ITV has listings for Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Is the Sunday programme a repeat of Saturday's?
I rather think that Robert is taking advantage of sounding like Frank Bruno !!
I think Westlife did a good job last night--helping the contestants, plus giving opinions afterwards--10 times better than Julio anyway !

I watched this on Saturday night and parts of it again on Sunday. Please keep me updated with the future episodes.
My favourites are the MacDonald Brothers. They clearly had the best performance on Saturday with Love Is All Around. Leona's voice was thin except for the high note at the end. Eton Road was a disaster with more off pitch notes than on. The Ricky Martin kid has no voice and Ben is stuck in the past. So MacDonald Brothers all the way to the finish line!
I saw Robert on several interviews on Monday morning. What a nice and polite young man ... I hope he has a good career ahead of him.

I was so glad to see Ray get through tonight---he sang one of my all-time favourite songs-"The Way you look tonight"--I have many many versions of this song, and Ray gave as good a performance as any . I also loved him singing "Jailhouse Rock" I was quite sad to see Eton Road gp--they have grown on me over the last few weeks--but if Louis meant what he said, this will not be the last we have heard of them.
On saying that, I, personally, would buy an album of Ray--but not of Eton Road.
