Poor Hollie-I felt mortified for her---at least she got to sing again, but I do not think she was as good as last time.
But then she is only 10 years old !!

I still think Susan will do it, if she can keep her confidence. I hope so.

Callum was on Breakfast TV this morning with his Father. He spoke and answered very intelligently. No sign of nerves with Callum. Of course he is Two years older than Holly which makes quite a difference where children are concerned, but he has such a happy disposition.
I just wish he was itaking part in the final.
Apparently Holly may have been put off by Amanda who at the start of her song turned to Simon to mention that it was quiet.

I confess to not having watched much of BGT.
However, I watched tonight's final and the act
I enjoyed most was the saxophonist, Julian Smith.
In my opinion he deserves to beat Susan Boyle
to the winner's rostrum. She is possessed of a fine
soprano voice, but little else. But what do I know?

I thought it was an excellent show tonight but I was disappointed with the result. I won't give anything else away yet just in case some of you haven't seen it.

I also thought it was a great show--lots of very good acts--one or two not quite so good, but nevertheless entertaining.

I thought that Susan looked very tense, and worried during the show.

But like John, I will say no more till tomorrow !!

The bad press Susan had during the week probably put some people off voting.............if the final had been last week or the week before, Susan would surely have won, when her star was at it's height  I felt so nervous for her before the result was given, as I really wanted her to win...............but the winners were exceptional :) ...........in last Sundays first semi-final Susan beat the eventual winners of the contest that night, so I think that proves Susans declining popularity this week, due to the bad press.

Yes Robert, I also think that Susan suffered by being the winner of the very first round, and in all that time, the publicity has snowballed out of all control If she had been in one of the later rounds it could all have been a very different story.

I was thinking that too Marian :) if she had won her audition last week, Susan would have won tonight without a doubt, as her popularity would have been soaring at this moment in time.

We felt really sorry for her. She simple entered this competition with the same intentions as the rest, and if all this publicity hadn't have finally got to her, including names such as HAIRY ANGEL :x she would have won the competition hands down
Diversity were excellent though and good luck to them on their win.

Good news, we have just heard that Simon will take her to America for a record deal worth a few Million. Good for her.

We have also seen a very good clip of her singing, not only "Cry Me A River," but "Killing Me Softly"

I have to say that I did think that "Diversity" were brilliant--but if Susan made an album there isno doubt that I would buy it. I saw that clip of "Killing me softly" and agree that it was great.

To be quite honest, as I said previously, Susan looked really tense throughout, but when she heard that "Diversity" had won, there seemed to me that there was a huge smile of relief on her face, and I think after everything, she is maybe quite glad that she did not win---after all, the whole world knows her name now.

And Simon is not stupid--he knows that she will sell lots of records.

To me, it was the best final that I have seen on BGT-I loved it.

We enjoyed the final, and no doubt it's audience rating soared all because of Susan Boyle.
She took the result very well, and we kind of wondered if she had been talked to before hand, explained of Simons intentions, and told of the outcome of the voting and the result, in fear of upset on the show.
After all Simon bent the rules the night before when he allowed Holly to sing again.
Both Diversity and Flawless were fantastic.
Childrens voices,Holly and Shaheen as good as they may seem now can change.
Stavros were enjoyed by many, but one blog contributor that I saw said it was like a couple of blokes in a car park after the pub has turned out.

I think despite the result Susan will no doubt do very well. I still think she should have won, and I think if it hadn't been for the bad press this week she would have flown through. I totally agreed with the top three though, although like I said I wish Susan had won. But she took it very graciously and even showed a bit of leg to everyone at the end.
I will definitely buy her album.
