Hi John ..I'm ok thank you. Just the usual limbo feeling waiting to say goodby to a loved one ...thinking of your Uncle John really hope he's doing well bless him...I will get to the other side if the funeral and try to carry on as normal ... I think the song going into the church is Ave Verum i believe Pavarotti had this at his own funeral sung by Andrea Bocellie wih I must have been very moving and I've just listened to I Walk With God ...very moving too to say the least...when Uncle laid to rest i will hope to come back and talk about our normal things ...hope everybody ok in this shocking weather we are having ...
Softly, I will leave you softly
For my heart would break if you should wake and see me go.....

We will be thinking of you on the 20th and hope you are alright in the meantime Maxine. I've always liked "I'll Walk With God," one of the first I bought of Mario Lanza's recordings. From the film The Student Prince.

Maxine is it I'll Walk With God? I think I know it but haven't heard it for many years.

I always think the wait time for a funeral is rather stressful but it's amaszing how resilient we are and we do get through it. I've been thinking of you and wondering how you were.

I am travelling to London on the 20th but will keep you in my thoughts.

When I pass on, one song I will request is "Softly As I Leave You" by Matt to be played at my Memorial....
From your entries, it seems that "Softly" is a favorite of yours also......

Sorry to hear about your Uncle, Maxine.....My sympathy & prayers come from across the miles.....

Hello lovelies ..just had to mention that Hubby and i went to see Richard and Adam from Britain's got Talent. two absolutely top class lads who sang there hearts out with guest star Charlotte from Jonathan and Charlotte (no separate careers after poor Jonathan could not perform in front of the queen due to depression) ..Richard and Adam said they were going to sing a Mario Lanza song....i could not believe they mentioned him and my heart was in my mouth as i thought they might sing Ill walk With God....thank goodness no they didn't ..they sang Without A Song...still a lovely song ...but thankfully not as emotional as the song set for my Uncles funeral on thursday....i have never been to a concert where Mario has ever been mentioned before ...very poignant for myself and Hubby Peter.....i just needed to share this with you all...when they sang The Prayer with Charlotte it was beautiful and The Impossible Dream ...their signature song .....i hope poor Michelle is ok bless her! what a fright to be in two vicious storms and the poor gentleman who passed away because of it ......God bless him and his poor wife ...
Softly, I will leave you softly
For my heart would break if you should wake and see me go.....

Thinking of you and your family on Thursday Maxine. So glad you were able to have an enjoyable evening out. What a coincidence that Mario Lanza should have been mentioned, a nice song too "Without a Song".
