WORDS of WISDOM

Often the post dear Marian pens
comes laced with humour,
therefore uplifting to behold;
to lesser computer literates (like me)
when good advice she sends,
her pen is dipped in liquid gold.
So here we gladly raise a cheer
to each lustrous contribution
eight thousand fold.

What a lovely tribute to Marian, Keith-I am sure she will love it--however, I think she was going on holiday sometime today, so I fear she may not see it till her return--but a lovely surprise to come back to.

Thanks for putting me in the picture, Marian(a).
I'm pleased that you like the verse; when the material
is malleable the construction is self-creating.

Marian has just gone away-not sure when she is back-probably a week or so.

Is it tomorrow that you are off for a week to see Marc ?

Will you put Freys in kennels or do you have a friend to look after her ?

Hi Mariana :-)

Yes, off to see Marc tonight - got a 22 hour journey to endure so have just finished packing. At least I haven't got far to go to the airport as the flight goes from just across the road. Freja has gone into kennels this morning. We are trying a new kennel to the one we have used in the past. The new one describes itself as 'The Connaught for dogs - where they can't wait to come back!'. It was certainly busy this morning and she has lots of lovely dogs on all sides, lots of tails were wagging and they all seemed very happy. The kennels are in a really gorgeous part of Gloucestershire and apparently TV vet Joe Inglish (who coincidentally works at our local vets!) uses it. The dogs are walked three times a day off lead in the grounds which has a lovely river running through them. I really didn't feel guilty leaving her there, unlike the other ones we have used in the past. Its very odd being at home without her - as I don't have to worry about where I leave things or think 'hmmm - Frejas been a bit quiet while I am here writing this - I wonder what she is doing!!'. How have Harry & Chloe been recently?

Anyway, got to now and do some cleaning! Talk to you all again soon

Michael x xx

Hi Mike--hope you have a good journey, and holiday {!!}

Those new kennels sound lovely--- I bet Freya has a lovely time--my dogs love it when they go to kennels.

Chloe and Harry are fine--had their booster last week-and get groomed tomorrow. So that is 2 big payouts in one week--I will never be rich, while I have these dogs :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hi all, I have been catching up on all your interesting posts since I came home yesterday, and have just discovered Keith's lovely lines in tribute to my earlier score. Many thanks for this Keith, I really appreciate your kind words and for taking the trouble to write them. :D :D
Thank you too to Mike. I hope you had a good time visiting Marc and enjoyed your holiday as much as we did. :D
You might be interested to hear that in the U.S. now they have "Doggie Camps" for dogs whose owners don't want to leave them in kennels when they go away. They have their days filled with various doggie activities, mix with other 'guests', and just sleep in a kennel at night.
They can even be brought to meet the owner at the end of their vacation for an extra fee.
The tour manager on our coach tour was hoping to run a camp like this for dogs in the future. She was just off to do a dog grooming course in preparation. :lol: :lol:
