Yes we agree Marian, what a waste. The panel of judges were egged on by the audience and somehow caved in to save the embarassing Madonna impersonator.
Paul Potts first appeared at the age of 28yrs for a karaoke dressed as Pavarotti then went on to Michael Barrymore's show "My Kind Of Music"
and won £8.000. After spending a total of £20,000 on training sessions he got to sing in a masterclass for his idol Pavarotti.
In 2003 a benign tumour was discovered while being treated for appendicitis. Then days after recovering he was knocked off his bike and broke a collarbone. .
There is some opposition though,- not a lot....but we'll see.

Haven't managed to see any of these programmes as yet. Sounds like some of the contestants are very entertaining, others not so!!

That's definitely an improvement Marian, Paul Jerry's another, but I suppose we'd better Paul the chain on this one. :? :?

Yes Connie was very sweet tonight--but I was surprised to see the bartenders go through.

There were another 2 acts on tonight that should not have gone through to the next round---the awful, awful Dr Gore---just horrible!! Plus the guys who sang and made weird noises without instruments.

How they got chosen to go through is a mystery--out of 124 acts to choose from, I am sure there were 2 other more talented and deserving acts to go through.

My favourite is Bessie--but I am more often wrong than right on these things, so we shall see.

Well, I did manage to watch tonight's show, and totally agree with what Marian said about the various acts. I was quite surprised to see the Bartenders go through too. Connie was great, such confidence for such a little girl. I felt sorry for The Cheeky Bits, they were so upset, but it couldn't just be all children I suppose.
Will definately be watching the final tomorrow night. It's going to be a difficult choice I should think. :? :? :?

Wow - how reassuring it is to see someone as modest as Paul Potts win ''Britains got Talent'' - all of the finalists had talent of course. Not only the singers, but the ventriliquist and the bartenders/jugglers had great charisma. But it was wonderful to see Paul named the winner, although I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more of the other talents as well!

Yes, great to see Paul win.  I think they could put all six acts on The Royal Variety Performance and get a better show than usual with all amateurs!
Not that many of them will be for much longer I'm sure.

I think I have to agree-I am not usually keen on opera, but Paul did sing really well tonight.
