The panel of judges were egged on by the audience and somehow caved in to save the embarassing Madonna impersonator. Paul Potts first appeared at the age of 28yrs for a karaoke dressed as Pavarotti then went on to Michael Barrymore's show "My Kind Of Music"
and won £8.000. After spending a total of £20,000 on training sessions he got to sing in a masterclass for his idol Pavarotti.
In 2003 a benign tumour was discovered while being treated for appendicitis. Then days after recovering he was knocked off his bike and broke a collarbone.
.There is some opposition though,- not a lot....but we'll see.
