Saw it in Woolies today, hesitated, but was obviously recorded in a studio. Also on Amazon at £8.99
Nice picture of Connie... :) Oh the bad news is Marian she does sing "Shout on it although AWL afterwards really wondered why he chose that awful song.

Hi Lena and Harry---Just checked out Amazon--that is a lovely pic of Connie on the front---and at least she does not have to dress in orange any more!!!

Some of the tracks sound good---but "Shout"---no, I do not think so.

Yes the orange dress, the hair, plus the eye shadow was all a mistake in the make up department.
They should have got some tips from Danny La Rue.

Just seen the advert for Connie on GMTV---a really bad background---supposedly meant to represent "The Sound of Music".

I think it would have been much better if she had stuck to songs from the shows--I might have considered buying it--but "Shout" sticks out like a sore thumb!!! Sorry Connie---it's not "Maybe, this time"---but "Maybe, next time"

Hi All,

I listened to the album chart run down on Radio 2 last night.
Connie's new CD, "My favourite things" has entered the UK chart at number 14. That's good news isn't it? Radio 2 also played a song from it which was also good - it was probably one of the only songs played last night that you could actually hear all of the words too! Other than Razorlight that is.
Yes Paul they are GOOD aren't they! :D

Pleased to see Connie's album is doing well, though I don't intend buying it.

I have heard so much now from various quarters about how good Razorlight are that I feel I must now go out and buy their album. I did like their early hit single called, I think, "Golden Touch", so this augurs well.

That is a very good chart placement for Connie Fisher. Thanks for mentioning Razorlight, Hilary. Johnny Burrell does have excellent diction. I just looked at the other top 20 albums and I would have to include Snow Patrol, Luther Vandross, and Muse as other albums where you can understand the words.

Yes, Jon, you should consider buying the Razorlight album. It's currently my fourth favourite album of 2006, behind Snow Patrol's Eyes Open, Matt Monro's Heart Of The Man, and The Magic Numbers debut album. You should definitely own these three albums as well.

Well, here we are discussing "Maria" again--I have just seen on Teletext that Simon Shepherd is leaving his role as Captain von Trapp in "The Sound of Music "---just 9 days before it is due to open !!!

Teletext just said that it "Was not working out"!!!

What next, I wonder???

Marian, we have also seen that Simon Shepherd has pulled out, apparently all amicably :? :? and Alexander Hanson is to take on the role
of Vonn Trapp. He appeared in "Aspects Of Love" not that his name rings any bells.

The reason for Simon Shepherd leaving, given in the Express this morning is "creative differences" !!

Hi All,

It is sad that this has happened. Apparently he has to learn ALL of the words before Thursday! Good luck to the man and I hope all goes well for the show!
