This morning started as minus 3 but has now risen above zero.The sun is shining and the snow is melting slightly.Long may it continue

Still cold here-lots of snow--all my activities for this week are being cancelled one bu one--shopping in Tunbridge Wells, Craft Group, Quiz, Hobbies Group, Luncheon club etc etc---I guess like everywhere, the main roads are quite clear, but the side roads are still treacherous. I have only been out once in the last 12 days !!

We woke up to a heavy mist here this morning, but it's clearing now. Still cold and icy underfoot though, but I walked out to the shops nearby... very carefully, and now feet up with the newspapers and a cup of hot chocolate.

Sounds like an unusually large amount of snow for the UK. Please be careful. And Marian from Kent, I didn't know you had a cat and a weather forecaster!

No snow yet in Washington, just cold temperatures and wind; highs around 27 Fahreneit the next few days. February is usually the worst month for snow here.

Paul, if it gets too cold, come visit California. It's cold in the late evening/early morning but so far we've been in the high 70's and 80's. No wonder the flu is running rampant. This weekend we are suppose to get a little rain. I'm expecting cuckoo drivers again!!

Our sighting of snow in Argyll and Bute only lasted 3 hours. That was several days ago. I went to Pitlochry in December with a shovel in the boot and didn't require it. The A9 was closed today due to several accidents due to the snow.

No snow today in Kent, and it seems to be clearing a little---but it is still really cold--i am hoping to venture out tomorrow--first time simce last Thursday.

It has been snowing here today, but hasn't stuck. There is more forecast on Friday. It is supposed to get milder on Sunday, about time too.

Yes John, i got out yesterday and today, but we cancelled our lunchen club for tomorrow--just in case--although it still seems cold, most of the snow has gone now. It is strange that although it has been about as cold as I can remember, the dogs water in the garage did not freeze up, like it has done in past winters.

I am pleased at least you got out Marian. The snow has gone here, but we are supposed to get some more today here , but tomorrow it will be milder and guess what...good old rain tomorrow night and Sunday.
