If only that would be the case, Marian. :( Unfortunately this year's Lily Allen clone, Kate Nash, will likely have the #1 album on Sunday. One Lily Allen is more than enough.

:) Amy MacDonald has a retro, yet fresh, sound, and I don't think any of her lyrics will have to be replaced with "none" (unlike Lily and Kate). I'm old-fashioned and just don't like swearing in songs and shows.

I see they wouldn't let Lily Allen into the U.S. yesterday and revoked her visa, Paul. This was something to do with a bust up with a photographer earlier in the year I believe. She's apparently due to do a U.S tour in September.

I heard something about this Marian, but I try to block all Lily Allen news and music!

Are they showing America's Got Talent in the UK? I wanted to warn all of you (especially Mariana) that a young female singer named Butterscotch did a beat box/jazz version of My Funny Valentine. She only sang a few lines. I thought it went way overboard and was absolutely dreadful, but the judges (Sharon Osbourne, David Hasselhoff, and someone named Piers Morgan) loved it. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised that they liked it.

I quite understand your opinion of Lily Allen Paul.
"America's Got Talent" is being shown over here. :? I think Lena and Harry were watching it at one time, but I'm not sure if they've stayed with it. No doubt they will let you know.

I am still watching "Americas got talent"--the Final is next week---but this is the Previous series---with Brandy [ ??? ] on the panel, not Sharon Osborne.

I do not think Piers Morgan would be flattered at Paul's desription of him---"Someone called Piers Morgan" !! To be quite honest, I am not sure what he does exactly, but it is something to do with Newspapers---Editor probably of one of our Big Dailies.

Piers Morgan was editor of the Daily Mirror. He was sacked when the paper was found guilty of printing bogus pictures of soldiers allegedly abusing Iraqis during the Iraq conflict.

Piers Morgan was the Daily Mirror editor, but left due to some controversy. He seems to be on this programme as the Simon Cowell judge, but he lacks charm. He makes some good comments, and has more value than Hasselhoff, who is more positive than Paula Abdul.

Did anyone else catch Connie Talbot on GMTV this morning? She has an album out, and new front teeth!
What a happy, confident and talented little girl she is. She sang "Ben" beautifully.

I did not see Connie this morning, but I have been reading a lot about her over the last week--and her new album. I think that "Ben" was one of the songs she sang for "Britain's got talent". She certainly is a sweet little girl.

I'm sorry I don't know Robert, but I know she has a new album out for Christmas so I assume it's from that. I will look it up.
