It was cold in Somerset yesterday. They'd had a heavy frost over night. We went in to Weston, had a meal and a stroll to the shops, was inside more than outside, always ending up in the famous Forte's in Burnham- On- Sea. for high tea. More weight gain. :) :)

I expect it was good seeing Alan, nevertheless. We used to go to a Forte's in Brighton--but it does not sound as good as yours.

Fortes is a large cafeteria near to the High Street and close to the beach in Burnham-On-Sea, ideal for lunches or snacks, and spoilt for choice when it comes to their ice creams. :) :) popular with both Alan and myself.
Harry is usually rolling a cigarette instead.

Hi Sandra, it has all gone here now thankfully, amazing how quickly it can disappear again sometimes. I phoned my Uncle who lives in the Derbyshire area and they had quite alot last night as well.

The forecast for the south is much like today-coldish, and rain every day. But by the beginning of March the tepratures will stsrt to rise to double figures. I hope that will apply to the rest of the country too.

This place sounds wonderful. But I've never heard of Weston and can't even recall where Somerset is. Is this near Bournemouth, Plymouth, Southampton, or Weymouth?

None of those I'm afraid Paul. Weston Super Mare is on the Bristol Channel and the nearest big city is Bristol.
Somerset is above Devon and Cornwall, and is a very lovely county, as are they all in the West Country.
