Exam Results

Post by Michele Monro » Thu Aug 18, 2011 9:55 am

Well at long last the day is upon us and after an extremely loud and riotous night last night, Max had eight friends here who all decided to stay up throughout the night, the results are in. They left here this morning at 6.30am and at long last the phone rang, which I had been attached to ever since he left the house, it was confirmed that he got A*/A*/A and has got a definite place at Warwick. Now that worry is out of the way, it will be another soon - once a parent always a parent.

Unfortunately Justine didn't get her place at Cambridge but is waiting to hear later today or tomorrow if she has a place at Warwick. She did extremely well getting an A*/A*/A but she needed an addition Step exam with a level 1 for Cambridge and a Step level 2 for Warwick. She for level 3 so we are keeping everything crossed that Warwick will still take her. It would definitely make my life easier if they were at the same university as they study well together, each spurring the other on and it wouldn't most certainly cut down on travel time at the weekends. It did worry me that he would be up and down the motorway at every opportunity to see his girlfriend. Fingers crossed.

Big congratulations to Max--sounds like he did really well---plus Justine did very well too--so hope she manages to get into Warwick with Max.

I cannot say I understand all about "level 3" and "step exams", but I can imagine it is still quite stressful just now.

Well done Justine and Max, amid all the recent troubles with young people who took part in the riots, it's good to know that these are probably in the minority and there are thousands striving and working hard to achieve and gain good results for their future. :) :)

Well done Max and Justine! Did the English papers print the story about the Scottish Education Board sending out text results to students mobiles a day earlier than they should of?
