Prayers Needed

Post by karl » Sat May 19, 2012 11:06 pm

You may remember I visited my friend Jim in Cheshire just a few weeks ago.

I heard from his family tonight that his condition has deteriorated rapidly, he is in a lot of pain and is on morphine and we are preparing ourselves for the worst.

Part of me feels relieved as he's fought such a long hard fight with great courage and dignity never losing his sense of humour but part of me is hoping for a miracle.

Please say a prayer, thanks folks.

If only prayers were the answer Karl. It's hard tp watch loved ones or friends suffering and when there is little hope of recovery, it's kinder for the person when the end comes sooner than later.

I am so sorry to hear about Jim, Karl--at least you got to see him just recently, and I can imagine how much that meant to him.

A tough time ahead for Jim, his family and friends-all in my thoughts just now.

L&H I said the same in 2006 when my mum passed away, if prayers and love were all it took she'd be up and about in no time! LIfe does not work that way unfortunately.

Sorry to hear about your friend Karl. All we can hope for him is for his pain to cease to make the time he has left easier for Jim, his family and friends.

I don't blame you L&H for saying no prayers for the Lockerbie bomber, it's the victims I feel for.
