I always felt proud to reach the age I am and be on no medication whatsoever.

From today that will change as I am about to hav ea prescription filled for BP tables.

The ECG showed it was putting a strain on my heart and my BP was well over the borderline.

My doctor was rather concerned and asked me how I felt about it, I replied I don't want to take medication but it'll be the sensible thing to do.

Thank God for well clinics as this could have gone undetected for long enough, the last time they checked my BP in 2010 it was perfect - where did I go wrong?

Apart from age, who knows Karl, but welcome to the army of pill poppers who are mainly the ones who have paid into the NHS fund for almost 50 years, and yet the latest bullying is the cost of Diabetes to the NHS, so it's a crime to get Diabetes.
The ultimate resolution could be to have everyone over the age of 65 lined up and shot so make the most of Christmas.

I know Angela, I have never met them but I'd like to.

It was great fun time at the Monro fan club meet ups Angela, and Harry was delighted that he had a smoking partner.

If that's the worst of your health problems you've lasted well my friend. There's always someone popping more pills than you.
L & H are legends with an amazingly bouyant attitude to life..from what I've read of course.
I'd love to get back to the U.K. one day and catch up with the legion of Monro fans.
And lets face it ,with Matt's sublime voice to keep our peckers up.. who can keep us down ?!

Harry - I have now become a NON-smoker, even Michele kept me in control, when on the Cruise.
How long this will go on for, well have to wait & see. This is now my fourth attempt, but not a life time smoker,
fingers X.
Smoking or not, would still love to be in your company again. xxxx

Greg I feel you are missing the point slightly. Nobody wants to be on pills and of course others are on a cocktail of them, not through choice though more necessity.

I always feel fine bout obviously your body tells a different story.

I just thank God for well clinics otherwise I'd be going around with high BP.

We are having a quiet weekend Angela, but from now on like most people will be busy getting the Christmas list sorted, ( with luck )
Harry is surprised and impressed that you have given up on the fags,) wish it would rub off on him but i know that there is only one thing that will make him pack up...and it's not my nagging.
You never know Angela, and hopefully there might be a time when we meet up again.

Yeah your right Karl if you can avoid taking medcine thats great but its not always the case. A few years ago to reach the age of 60 sounded old but really it isnt is it?, i take the point of view now its just a number. The good thing about getting older is growing wiser haha and we never stop learning.
