SAD NEWS

Post by karl » Mon Jun 24, 2013 6:42 pm

One of my friends in Glasgow called this morning to say he would meet me in Edinburgh tomorrow for lunch, he called again a little while ago to say he has found his daughter dead in her house - he was too upset to say anymore and I am also stunned at the news.

I offered to go through to Glasgow but he said he would be ok, he's in shock. I will call him later, don't want to call now incase his family are there.

I phoned last night and he was less upset.

Fiona worked in the same office as her brother and when she didn't turn up for work he phoned his dad to check on her and she was lying fully clothed on her bed. She did suffer from migraines but until the post mortem has been done they don't know what happened.

That reminds me of one of my best friends Anne, she had terrible headaches, ans just fell down in her kitchen while she was making a cup of tea--she was actually due to see the doctor that very day, and Pete, her husband was at home with her, but there was nothing he could do-she died instantly from a brain haemorrage-she was 47. Always so hard for those left behind.

Thanks all. No more news yet - I have just posted a sympathy card.

We bumped into Fiona in Glasgow just about six weeks ago, we were leaving HMV and she was going in but I'd met her a few times before as we all had dinner together.

The first PM results came in ahead of time and it's inconclusive, the full results will not be available for several weeks.

It appears there is also a form of "cot death" for younger adults.

What springs to mind is the same kind of thing happened to Gene Pitney as he lay down fully clothed but he was in his 60's. It's all very sad.

That is strange-if it were a brain heammorage they would know straightaway.

Even harder for her family and friends to cope with .
