Sad to hear today that the lovely actress Jean Kent has died at the age of 92 following an accident in her home on Thursday .
Jean Kent was one of the true British actresses of the Forties and Fifties, and appeared with stars of that era such as Laurence Olivier, Margaret Lockwood, and Marilyn Monroe, and Stewart Grainger who was best man at her wedding in 1946 to Josef Ramart.
My mother worked for one of Jean Kent's neighbours when she lived in a block of mansions here in Maida Vale, and my mother spoke to her often and said what a beautiful lady she was.
R.I.P. Jean Kent.

I remember Jean Kent from many films of my younger days. Sorry to hear she had an accident and died in hospital. I always feel people of her age should just fade away in their own homes with family around them.

Marian I agree with you.

And Mariana the name is familiar to me, I must check it out and remind myself what she looked like.

That's the third one, how come there are always three? It's downright weird!

I remember Jean Kent very well from many films of the 40's and 50's and also appeared in lots of TV shows too. She was lovely.

I was thinking she was in Tenko but that was Jean Alexander, not sure if I've seen Jean Kent in anything.
