My uncle Leon very poorly

Post by maxine » Sun Dec 08, 2013 6:34 pm

Hi ..just thought id mention i won't be on here for a while as had a phone call from my cousin about my dear uncle lee who is becoming quite poorly in hospital at the age of 88 ...he was taken in literally on the day i had mentioned him on the forum the other day .but was not so bad ... Just haven't got the heart to carry on ...as normal ...if that makes sense ... I love this forum you are such a lovely forum and I wish you all a lovely happy and peaceful Christmas for you and yours and also thinking of anybody who has anybody poorly too...so difficult this time of year ...he is my late mums little brother ...I am so close to him ..and his wife has been gone 12 years Christmas Eve ...just before my parents both passed ...9 weeks apart ....and my Mums birthday ....As I said this forum is lovely i just need a bit of reflection time and I'm on alert Every time the telephone goes.... My cousin said he wouldn't know if I'm there if i went to see him ...hubby is more than happy to take me to Halifax. If he picks up we are up there no hesitation.....kind regards to you all x
Softly, I will leave you softly
For my heart would break if you should wake and see me go.....

Maxine it's never a good time to be ill but especially at Christmas.

I understand how you must feel but we're all here for you when you feel like coming back.

Maxine, we are so sorry to hear about your Uncles illness particularly at this time of the year, but every one of us here on the forum understands that you have plenty to think about and do when things like this happen and you need time.
We all appreciate and enjoy your posts, but family commitments come first.
We will be thinking of you, and hope things won't get too bad so that you will be able to enjoy some of the Christmas festivities with your family.

Thinking of you Maxine and hope your Uncle Leon gets better soon. It is never easy, especially this time of year, when someone close to you is ill. Wishing you all the very best.

Hi everybody ..the latest about my uncle is that he has had his first solid food for 17 days and been hoisted into a chair....my cousin said quite rightly any positive is good.....he's always been feisty in his life ..I might just call him the terminator as he always manages to come back bless him....thank you for all your kind posts and my thoughts are with Terence and his family who I sympathise with ...... Obviously I know uncle is not out of the woods but I had to share this positive with you ....x
