BRITISH WORKMEN

After Marian's carry on with the builders it's now my turn with trying to get someone to fix my fence after the gales late last year.
The man concerned (David) is a colleague of a neighbour and he has done fence work for us both over the years. I phoned him at the start of December and he said he would come, called again and he said he had not forgotten me. He is prone to arriving unexpectedly, however we are now into March and a further text last week has gone unanswered. It is out of character for him as he's been doing work on and off for us all for years.
I saw an ad in a local shop for someone who did all that kind of work, I called and left a message, he got back to me yesterday saying he would come today at teatime so I said I hoped he would come before it got dark, it's now 6.55 and pitch black and nobody has come - typical !!!!
They moan when they can't get work and then when they are offered it they don't take it
