We had a leak.

It was arranged today for a plumber to call to us on Monday to repair a dripping tap in our bathroom, but he surprised us later in the day with a call to say he was free and could come right away.
A second man arrived, we gather an inspector to check on the work being carried out, He came in to the sitting room to tell us that this job was all done, and then looked up at our pictures of Matt along with our music collection. Wow !! he said, I see you like Matt Monro, and so the conversation led us to discover that his affection for Matt and his music had rubbed off from his late Grandmother who was a big fan. He had spoken to Michele recently, had got her book and was at the book launch at Ronnie Scotts. A small world eh !!!

It never ceases to amaze me how music or a particular artist can bring people together or act as an ice breaker.

It certainly is amazing Karl, and we had already shared some music with this person, and Marian, what a great evening it was eh !!!

How amazing. All that I have got from my leaks etc has been a headache. !!

That was so Good L & H getting your leak sorted and a lovely trip down memory lane with your plumber. We too have fond memories of the Book Launch at Ronnie Scotts as not only did we get to meet Michele and family & Richard but also so many of you lovely forum members.
