R.I.P. - George Donaldson of Celtic Thunder

Post by Eman » Fri Mar 14, 2014 12:22 am

Just read on my Facebook page that George Donaldson of the Irish vocal group passed last night of a heart attack. He was not even 50 yet. George was from Glasgow, Scotland but performed with the group. He was also a solo singer who sang folk music which was akin to Harry Chapin, Gordon Lightfoot. RIP - George Donaldson.

I just read about George online he was only 46. He died at his home in Glasgow.

I just saw them on you tube, they are good and have a great following appearing in large venues too.

Yes it's very sad especially at the age of 46. George was good with the group and also as a solo artist. I have both of his solo cds and enjoy them quiet a lot. He was one of the fans favourites and was known as "The Gentle Giant" because of his height and his appearance.
