Thinking of all the brave men and women who have sacrificed their lives and have suffered injuries in wars and conflicts to give us our freedom.
It doesn't necessarily warrant wearing a poppy and it isn't compulsory, but we've worn one every year, it's just come natural to us. !!

Totally agree with you Lena & Harry. I watched the TV. 2 minutes silence etc.,
I had my Father's picture out, he was in the R.A.F. came back safely to myself & Mum.

Remembering all the brave people who lost their lives for their country today.

Thinking all the people who lost their lives in all wars. I nursed one man who survived the Somme in an old people's home, named George, and in the same home an old who lost her fiancé in the 1st world war. She never married and was still missing him.

Yes they are the real heroes, I watched the show on Saturday night from the RAH. Felt so sorry for the young soldier who was blinded but still found the strength to recite his own words.

Yes, we like to watch this yearly remembrance service Karl. The blind serviceman was on Breakfast time this morning.
It was nice that your Father came home safely from his service in the R.A.F. Angie.
We remember in our streets and neighbourhoods, serviceman who were returning after a long time away from home and families decorated the outside of the house from top to bottom with flags and bunting with a Welcome Home sign for their loved ones. We would all be waiting outside the house for him to walk up the street

We did that in the civil service announce it over the PA, remember years ago the buses and pedestrians all stopped for two minutes. These (military) people have my utmost respect and gratitude. I have family members in the Navy & Air Force.
