There is a nice clip of Matt on the Russell Harty Show on YouTube. Matt sings "You Bring Out The Best In Me" which is then followed by Matt & Russell sitting down for a chat so we have now put this in our YouTube Library to watch again. 🙂 🙂

Yes Richard you are right.

It would be nice to have another DVD if Robert or Sandra win the lottery unless of course we win it first! 🙂

There is a nice clip of Matt on uTube from a BBC radio show called
"Go Man Go" in April 1963 singing "One Day" 🙂

Yes, It's actually been up there 10 years would you believe. The Estate has a better copy of this from the person who runs the channel - I'd hope to be able to include some of this on a Matt at the BBC follow up if we can ever persuade anyone to do it!

Thanks Richard for the information.

We had no idea it had been out for so long and we only found it last week as we are always looking out for anything new on Matt.

It would be great to have the better copy if you can do the follow up on a Matt at the BBC. We suppose it is a question of the cost to produce it and hope that you will be successful in due course so that we can buy it and add it to our collection.

The problem with it is threefold.

Even though these are BBC recordings, Capitol won't issue anything recorded by Matt when he was under his Parlophone or EMI contracts and Warner won't issue anything that was recorded under his Decca or Capitol contracts. Interestingly I could, BUT I would still have to pay every single musician that is still around a fee if they played on any of the recordings as well as a fee to the BBC for everything that's still in copyright, which makes it too expensive for me. (And I'm still stuck with 600 copies of Live in Hong Kong!)

The recordings I have go right back to Showband in 1957 right through to the Billy May in 1983 (Basically all the stuff I would have put in the "At the BBC" radio show had the BBC taken us up on the deal) plus more from Radio Luxembourg and a few other bits - I'd have called it something like "Matt on the Air". I will keep nagging Capitol about it though because If Warner aren't interested (which they aren't) then surely they can do something!
