I see Richard's name is on the credits on the newly released Cilla Black cd.

Which one's that Karl? If it's "Especially For You" - I don't know why. Nothing I did for the set was released. I started remixing the album, but within 24 hours they changed their minds and got another engineer to do it.

Yes that's the one Richard. Perhaps they gave you credit for the work you did?

That's nice I suppose, but I only got as far as one rough mix before the plug was pulled! Was not impressed by the final version - This isn't sour grapes, just my opinion.

Do you mean the new release did not impress? I think it's an improvement on the original release.

No, I mean the mix did not impress. I have the original multitracks for those songs so I know the potential. The mixes (to me at least) are dull and dynamically compressed to a ridiculous extent. But I admit are an improvement to the appalling originals!
