Britain's Got Talent 2009

Post by Marian » Sat Apr 11, 2009 9:30 pm

Well, I was quite expecting a load of rubbish from the early acts tonight, but a surprising number had a great deal of talent and went through.
Well done to all those people, and I look forward to seeing most of them again, apart from the last act! I'm not really embarrassed, I was a nurse for goodness sake!

Wasn't that 48 year old woman brilliant Marian? The one that sang "I Dreamed A Dream". :D

Yes, amazing John. She's going to be another Paul Potts I shouldn't wonder.
I bet they give her a makeover though!

I just loved "Britain's got talent" tonight--it seemed better than ever---with even more bizarre, and deluded acts---and a couple of outstanding performances.

From the sublime to the ridiculous---from Susan, stunning everyone in the audience, the panel and me, singing "I dreamed a Dream"---and the ridiculous---the guy trying to break the world record of eating Ferrero Rocher chocolates in 1 minute---he could only manage 4 !! My dog Harry would get through a whole box in that time-if he had the chance!!

Then there was the amazing Dance group "Flawless"---and the guy who thought he could dance like Gene Kelly--without moving his feet!!!!

Ant and Dec were so funny too---I cannot wait till next week--I am trying to persuade my sister to watch it, as she loves Ant and Dec--but she just says it is not her thing !!!

Well, Susan Boyle looks like Britains next big supestar in the making :) TV cameras from all over the world are waiting outside her home...............also she has been featured on all the world's top TV stations too................she has also appeared in all the worlds newspapers.................plus Susans video is one of the most watched ever on Youtube, with a present figure of over 7 million (and counting - quickly too) ...................looks like the world is her oyster, and with a voice like she has.......no wonder. Susan is now the clear favourite for Britains Got Talent too (not surprisingly) :)

the british lady with the beautiful voice!! Watching Simon smile what a treat that was!! But then I really like him... I do believe he does recognize talent... And that she is!! She was very much at ease, and I felt she knew she would impress the judges... She had every reason to believe in herself .. she has that amazing voice.. I hope we'll hear and see a lot more of her... And I'll be waiting......Best to all of you british folks from your kansas friend lori

I am glad you got to see her Lori---she truly surprised everyone. Yes Simon is not stupid-he could tell from the reaction of the audience that she is a very special lady.

I get the feeling that life may have been tough for her in the past, so I am just delighted for her .

That 7 million hits on Youtube is astounding--I bet she would like just 1 penny from every one of those watchers!!

Does anyone have the link , please ?

Susan Boyle..... Mainly, I saw her on all of the morning news shows.. Good Morning America.. The Early Show ..and The Today show.. also on You Tube...which I clicked on many times..I don't know when I have seen a re-action, like that ever. As`I mentioned before, I loved watching Simon. and I particularly loved when the lovely lady(sorry, I don't know her name) on the panel... said how priviledged she was to hear her voice.. In fact, after I finish this note to you Robert, I will listen to her again... I might add You Tube, was where I discovered beautiful Matt Monro... By the way, how often is this talent show on and here it is American Idol... What is the name of your British show? I will positively want to know about Susan Boyle.... And thankyou for the welcome back Robert.... Have A happy day!!
