Anyone for Tennis?

Anyone other than me watching the progress of the tennis at Wimbledon? I'm not too much of a fanatic, but I have been keeping an eye on the interesting matches.
It was also interesting to see the new roof used for the first time on the centre court on Monday.

We were out with children and grandchildren today at our village Fun Day, so we missed the ladies final. Will definitely be watching the men's tomorrow though. Don't really worry too much about which one wins, Federer and Roddick are both great players and it should be a good match.

I was at a garden Party in our church grounds, so I missed the Ladies final--but what a big yawn-same as last yeer--and the year before--and the year before--etc etc etc--plain boring !!
I do not think I have missed anything !!

I'm not really a tennis (give me football any time.) but have been watching most of the finals
Today was a marathon with Federer finally the winner.
Now that's fitness for you.

Also there seemed more pleasantry's between Rodrick and Federer than there was with the Williams sisters .

I thought it was an excellent final, both players were so well matched, it could really have gone either way.
I quite hoped Andy Roddick would win as he fought so hard, but Roger Federer was a worthy winner, and of course he beats Pete Sampras's record with 15 Grand Slam wins.

ONE HAND ON HIS TENNIS HOLY GRAIL

Andy Roddick deserves immense praise for his Wimbledon performances,
as number six seed he dismissed the the number three in four sets,
and matched the game's greatest ever player for 76 out of 77 games.
His understandably rushed (he was so fired up for the biggest test
of his career) backhand miss for set point in the second set was
a pivotal moment; it is very doubtful that Federer would have recovered
from a two sets to love deficit.
Andy came within a nanosecond of becoming champion, proving to everyone
that he is a much better player that we have given him credit for.
Magnificently played, Andy!
