Matt...At the Dentist.!!

Post by GregT » Thu Dec 10, 2009 4:43 am

Hi Monrovians..
Being the nervous patient I am, I always find a visit to the Dentist a bit of a trial.
Today I wore my cheap Chinese junk MP3 player for my appointment...keeping one ear out of course.
How calming to have Matt singing to me while the drill whistled away...try it...it works.!!!

Hi Lori,
Yes..."Live in Australia" is , as most regulars on this site will tell you, is an essential part of the Monro musical mosaic.
I have it on my MP3 player along with a growing list of albums.
Matt bounces off the audience so naturally on this CD, a far cry from the constraints of the recording studio.
I can't help but think he may have suspected something wasn't quite right even at the time of this concert...but being the trooper he was,he certainly didn't let it show.
What a Guy....What a Loss.!

Hi Greg, I wondered why you were suspicious of Matt's condition during "Australia" He sounded so upbeat, full of laughter , and needless to say , the voice just so perfect. Though your perseption could be right on track, since only 5 months later, we lost this incredible man with still so much left to offer our world. And I so often ask WHY? I will say , Matt remains permanenlty in my life... every day, he sings his songs , and because of him my days are filled with beautiful sound. By the way , I hope you let your dentist listen to the greatest voice ! As long as he's singing we'll never desert him... Right !! Best wishes Gregg

Hi Lori,Lena and Harry,Marian and 'cmartin'..(sorry ,don't have your name old chap..)
While I don't normally CARIE for Dentist jokes...Oh Dear... the only reason I thought Matt
may not have been the full two bob was the plaintiff way he said 'Please God' before he sang "Softly.."..maybe he did it at every concert, don't know.
Didn't mean to start any controversy..maybe just my interpretation.
