From what I am reading online, Kent is the hardest hit in the UK. Some drivers had to sleep overnight in their cars. Mariana, I hope you are fine and not too affected by all this.

Lots of snow here--my friends daughter arrived last night at Gatwick about 11.00-just before they closed the airport for the night because iof the snow-and got 6 miles from home and was stuck 4 hours in traffic--at 3.30 in the morning ! Apparently a lorry jackkifed on the A21 earlier during the day!
My sister in Suffolk has 5 inches of snow. It was lovely and sunny earlier, but is now very cloudy and i think we may have more snow later today.

Hi Don
I will never have a white Christmas in Malaysia despite your brew.

Not too bad here in west Yorkshire although the footpaths are very icy-couldn't believe my eyes this morning. Four council workers sweeping snow and gritting in the park and around the bandstand. Am I getting too old?

Ask an Englishman and he will say , "snow looks best on a postcard".!
Hope it doesn't last too long folks...
Meanwhile in Oz..we are looking at rain and storms leading up to Christmas as the first Cyclone for the season has
crossed the Western Australian coast and turned into a dirty big rain depression feeding moisture into
a cold front which is on its way to us...Joy to the World.....Global Warming ?? ...Bah Humbug.!!
A Safe and Happy Festive Season to All Monrovians ,
Greg

You're obviously not as cynical as I,Marian. A local businessman remarked it was to make easier access for the drunks/tramps/layabouts who regularly sleep there.
I prefer your answer, however, the town centre pavements are still un-gritted here!
Roll on Summer!

We have even had snow in Blackpool for two nights running, a couple of inches each night. I was only saying the other day, we generally don't see snow in Blackpool, I think in the 14 years I have live here it has only snowed properly twice before.

Pretty bad weather conditions in London too. London Bridge was in chaos last night, with many trains cancelled and the station about to be closed when I got there at 7:00. Managed to push my way onto an overcrowded train, which didn't move for half-an-hour, but eventually got home at a decent time. I've had enough of the snow - I just wish it would go away.

It's better up here in West Yorks.today-but more ice&snow forecast.
It's all sent to try us!
We really don't need to be anywhere except at home but the struggles of people having to travel around is not nice:especially at Christmas-time.

Well it's pouring down with rain here in London tonight. Hoping it won't freeze by the morning.
One minute we are told that a thaw is likely in the next couple of days, and the next to expect a freeze.
