The Matt Monro 100 Club

Post by Marty » Sun Apr 30, 2006 11:51 am

Founding members Harry & Lena,

100 posts to celebrate for a lovely couple who've been with the site since the start.

It's great that such loyal Matt fans should be the first to reach a century of messages on this webpage.

:D

Well done Lena and Harry, 100 not out, and already well on your way to a double century. I have been reading your posts on the MM -Website- since it started, even though I didn't join until March this year. I have really enjoyed reading your interesting posts all this time, so keep up the jolly good work in the future. At the moment I am listening to the Eric Hall show on the -Listen Again- feature, today featuring Bing Crosby. At the moment Alma Corgan is loosening her tonsils (what a great voice she has, a real shame she left us so early). Russ Conway has just been tinkling the ivories as well. I am listening to Eric Hall while the David Jacobs collection starts on Radio 2. Eric has just said the three top male singers were Al Jolson, Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby. He then added a fourth to the list, our very own MATT MONRO (I should think so too).!!!!

So well done "Bubelehs", keep up the good work. :D :D

My tears will fall now that your gone :(

Thanks again Robert, but these number of posts that we've clocked up are only mainly due to the regular visitors who come up with new threads and games for us to respond to. We salute you BUBELEHS :D :D

Guys, what can I say, thanks for all your support to the website since its birth and I'm delighted that you reached the 100 mark first. You have added so much to the site and long may you both reign.

Here's to the next century - I must sort out some telegrams

Happy posting :D

Thanks very much Michele, our crowns are slipping :D but again we just get pleasure from this site that you have created for us enabling us to discuss your lovely dad's music and unselfishly, other singers and artists too.
We've a feeling the postings from everyone will soar when the" Rare Monro" arrives on our mats. :D

Thank you very much for those remarks Lena and Harry. It is writing posts with people like yourselves, that spur me on. You always have good things to say, and sometimes FUNNY things.
But also the subject of our MATT ( 8) 8) ) - who I truly admire as a singer helps quite lot, doesnt it. Thank's once again.

Hello Lena and Harry. This a a question for Harry really. It would be interesting if you could tell us if you ever had any famous people or personalities in the back of your Taxi at any time. Thank you.

Hello Marty. Thank you for your kind remarks about my enthusiasm, especially for Matt, who I think is definitely #No.1 in the singing ranks, without a shadow of a doubt. What a great velvety, powerful, yet tender voice Matt has. Also thank you for welcoming me to the "ton up" club.
Can I just say, that i'm not as young as I look in the "photo", which I suppose is a good thing.??
