Elvis Costello debuted a new song on U.S. radio last night. In his usual way , he didn't explain much about it. A friend tells me -
'I'm also very curious about that mysterious new song...Possibly called "Lancashire Station". He said it takes place in 1937. It was hard to catch with just one hearing, but it might have been about a washed up actor throwing himself in front of a train. Does that ring a bell with any of the UK people? Was there a famous scandal?'
Google searches including these references don't tell me much. Can anyone here help?
