Today at long last the day that Mariana had planned for a meet-up arrived. It was a super memorable day, and it was such a pleasure having the opportunity to meet Mike who makes such a great contribution to the forum, and the same with Mariana, Marian and
Peter, each of them the nicest people we've ever known. But of course we knew this anyway.
After coffee in the nearby hotel, we strolled to Garfunkels and had a great meal together. Were even given a dining room to ourselves.
We were able to chat to our hearts content.
OH!! and there might be a few photos too.

Yes, it certainly was a highly successful and memorable Matt Monro mid-day meeting!! Wonderful to meet old friends again from last year's Fans Reunited, Lena and Harry, and Mariana, and to meet Mike for the first time. Of course, we have also met many times on the forum.
All really fantastic people, it was really brilliant company with lovely food and exhilarating conversation! Peter and I had a fantastic time.
It was all nicely rounded off by a trip back to the station in Harry's black cab, spotting lots of famous London landmarks along the way.
I'll be adding some photos of the day to the Friends Reunited photo album soon too.

Evening All! It was indeed a fantastic day - so so nice to be able to meet up with Mariana, Len, Harry, Marian & Peter in person. You're even more lively in real life, a great bunch of characters. The time flew by, I don't think there was a moments silence in the conversation - it was fascinating to hear of all your experiences and share our opinions face to face!

We were so lucky to have the downstairs of Garfunkels to ourselves - and how appropriate that they served a burger called the 'Italian Job'

Thanks very much for putting me onto Ray Gelato, Lena - I am going try and get to see him this year! I've already downloaded 'Hey there' by him of i-tunes!

I hope that Harry & Chloe behaved themselves whilst you were out Mariana

Hi Marian-I have just looked at the photos---they look great-really came out well--unlike mine-for some reason, everyone was blurred!

The lighting inside was difficult wasn't it? We'll have to see what Lena and Harry's turn out like.
Were all yours blurred Marian? You didn't have it on close-up did you? Mine got moved once by mistake and all of mine were blurred then. Pleased you like the ones I've added John. Hope you'll be in the October ones...

Well done Marian for getting the photos up so quickly. They are really good.
We only have Two from the digital camera to put on ( just going to watch the footie first ) and some from the ordinary camera that i'll have to get developed.

Hi Marian--I do not know why my photos were blurred---I took some when I was out on the previous nught that seemed Ok--but the light was brighter. I shall have to check out the settings. I am glad that at least yours turned out, and hopefully Lena's and Harry's.

The photos are smashing! As Peter said, its a shame I devoured the 'Italian Job' burger before we took a picture of it!

Sorry I've not been around much since then but its only 4 days to go til 'the do' so lots of jobs to do!

Couldn't quite work out why your amazing technicolour shirt kept changing colour Mike!!!! though I expect it was the lighting, and forgetting to use the flash at times.
