Did anyone see this first episode last night.?? Another search for talent show.
On I.T.V. 1 Ant and Dec host a Nine part nightly talent show to find the nations most gifted individual or group.
Simon Cowell is on the Judges panel and alongside him is Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan.
There is to be Five audition shows and the winner will be given the chance to appear before the Queen at the Royal Variety Performance.
There were One or Two incredible acts, A man with a dummy monkey that was hilarious. The funniest we've seen,
Another act by a rather nervous looking man who was asked what he was going to do. He sang, with an amazing voice and the panel was stunned into silence, and with tears streaming down Amanda Holdens face. Ours too.
It was quite a moment. :) :)

It could be another show to get hooked on John, just what we need on a Saturday evening to replace Joseph and Grease that's now finished.

I did not get round to watching this yet, with so much else going on, but I am recording them, although I was not sure from the trailers if I was going to like it much. I just may give it a go now !!

We taped it this evening, and will watch it later, was listening to Alan Dale on GMMY.
Another singer from Italian descent with a great voice that we hadn't heard of.
He played a Rock and Roller in the film "Dont Knock The Rock" and then became a smooth crooner singing and making recordings in both English and Italian.

Last night's acts were rubbish, and when Simon Cowell, after one of these acts said.... What the b....y hell was that,.... he took the words right out of our mouths, until it came to a little Six year old girl who came on and sang "Over The Rainbow" and the panel were mesmerised.
She sang beautifully and note perfect. It was worth the hour of suffering just to hear this little girl.

Yes, I didn't see it but I was told about her and how good she was. :)

Yes I saw and heard little Connie sing, and she was just brilliant--for a 6 year old to get up on stage like that-and sing perfectly--with absolutely no musical backing was astounding.

The only thing that is keeping me watching this show each night is the one--maybe 2 that really have got genuine talent.

It's now come to choosing those who would be among the finalists for the British Talent.
For some reason that we can't explain now, we thought that it was going to be a show with some good acts.
The Royal Variety show has often had criticism and so will this one unless little Connie gets the vote to appear. Or.... the other 11 year old girl whose Father told us all Three times that he had specially broken his holiday in India to fetch her over here to appear for this audition

As I mentioned before-far too many novelty acts---but I think many of those will get whittled down very quickly---even the Boy drummer--good as he was---but not particularly entertaining--not to me anyway. Drums on their own are not enough.

Paul Potts is quite nervous and the song he sang tonight is not the easiest, but he deserved to win.
We were glad that the ventriloquist was voted to stay in spite of tonights poor act.
We thought that the first group of dancers would have stayed too, they were great.

A much better show now that the auditions were over---it is a shame only 2 can go through, as there were several other really good acts-especially young Dominic----the boy singer. I agree that Paul was probably nervous, but the difference in confidence between him and Dominic was very apparent.

But I shall never know how the "Madonna" impersonater got through the first round, let alone to the semi-finals--she was just awful--and she denied someone else with genuine talent a place on the show.
