BETTY DRIVER.

Post by Lena & Harry Smith » Sat Oct 15, 2011 12:06 pm

We have just seen the sad news that the wonderful actress Betty Driver passed away yesterday at the grand age of 91.
Most people will remember Betty for her role in Coronation Street, but she had a long and varied career as an actress on stage screen and musicals playing alongside all of the greats, but not many will realise what a great singer she was too.

I just saw this news on Ceefax---She seened to look so well, the last time I saw her. I loved the tribute they did to her recently on TV.I am glad they did it then, rather than wait.

Very sad news, she must have been working almost to the end. No more Betty's hotpot in the Rover's.
