Sad to hear that British actor Harry Fowler had passed away on the 4th January at the age of 85.

Blimey these things always come in three's but so far there have been two!

The name rings a bell but I haven't seen him for years, was he in a tv comedy many, many years ago?

R.I.P. Harry.

Yes, Harry Fowler was a typical cockney type of actor and appeared in most of the old police series// Dixon Of Dock Green and in the "Army Game "
He married actress Joan Dowling in 1951, her best remembered part was playing a similar cockney kid role in Hue And Cry. Sadly a few years later she took her own life and was buried at Golders Green. Some friends of ours (who are no longer with us), lost their Four year old son in a playground accident and her grave was next to his.

Yes, sorry to read this, he was in several films in the fourties and fifties, Hue and Cry is one film which springs to mind with Jack Warner. I also remember him many years later as the milkman in "In Sickness and In Health" and he used to place bets for Else Garnett.
