Very sorry to read that the comedian Frank Carson has passed away aged 85. One of my favourites.

Yes John, that's really sad news of Irish comedian Frank Carson's passing.
He was a very funny comedian, and was one of the rare few who didn't resort to using bad language or smut to get a laugh.

God bless dear Frank Carson; he was one of those
comedians who had you giggling before he uttered
a funny word. He once said in the presence of Prince Philip
that the last time he had seen him, he had been in
the Queen's arms: 'That's a small pub in the Edgware Road.'
His humour made him a wealthy man. He once quipped:
'I wouldn't say I was rich, but I wrote a cheque last week
and the bank bounced.'

RIP
