Did You Hear This

Yesterday on Sounds OF The 60's (SOTS) Brian Matthews played a great version of The Beatles song Please Please Me by Mary Wells (Of My Guy fame).

I checked the playlist and it was taken from a compilation cd but does not seem to appear on any of Mary's cd's - some of which I have.

If anyone knows better, please let me know as this has a great swinging arrangement.

I saw Mary onstage on The Beatles tour many years ago.

Was that the same show where Gerry and the Pacemakers sang "The way you look tonight"-definately never heard him sing that before .

Yes that was the show Marian, that track must be on the triple set I have, must check it out and give it another listen. I really like Gerry and fiinally saw him onstage for the first time a few years ago, absolutely great!

Gerry and The Pacemakers! Wow I forgot all about them..I know I have a few of their lps from when I was a kid, but I liked Billy J. Kramer a whole lot better!!
