HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADELINE

Post by karl » Mon Jul 23, 2012 8:01 am

My friend Madeline Bell is 70 today - HAPPY BIRTHDAY MADELINE!

A mutual friend (who made the cake for my 60th), has made a beautiful cake for Madeline with her album sleeves on the icing which he will present to her tonight as she is performing with Tommy Blaize at the 606 club.

Congratulations to Madeline--she is still looking good at 70.

I am sure she will love her cake.

Hopefully my request for Madeline's' birthhday will be played this Saturday - I somehow doubt it as it was requested awhile back and was not played last week.

Every time I hear "Melting Pot" i think of George--it was one of his favourite songs ever--and in my mind I can still hear him singing along with it.

It's nice that you can associate a song with someonee but I'm sure you don't need a song to remember George by, you will have your own memories Marian :) .

Yes, you are right of course Karl-but George was such a big fan of 60's music, so I always think of him when his favourite tracks come on.

Yes she did Marian and Bruce Forsyth joined her onstage as he was in the audience, I've seen the pictures - she also had a great party on Sunday that my friend John (the baker of the cake) was invited to and had his pic taken with Madeline and Kiki Dee. The cake was presented to her onstage on Monday.

And Marian(a) I think I would have like George as my heart lies with 60's Music too. :)
