KENNY BALL

Post by Marian » Thu Mar 07, 2013 1:19 pm

I've just heard on the headline news that Kenny Ball has just died aged 82. I only saw him once in later years but he was really friendly and drew a little smiley face in my autograph book. So sorry to hear that he has died.
R.I.P. Kenny.

Really sad to hear this news of Kenny Ball's passing.
Kenny was a brilliant musician who brought joy to millions.
We remember thost many TV appearances that he and his group made in the days when the TV was worth switching on for.
R.I.P. Kenny Ball.

I am so sad to hear this news, I always liked Kenny's music and as far as I know he was still appearing on stage.

Rest in peace Kenny and thanks for the music

He was due to appear at a venue near Grantham called The Meres tonight with Chris Barber and Acker Bilk.

Kenny Balls son still wants the concert to go ahead as a a tribute to his Dad.

I believe I saw an advert for Kenny Ball at one of the Warners Hotels this summer too.

We can never forget when our son was small we remember him having a toy trumpet and he imitated making the sound with perfection every note of Kenny's Midnight In Moscow. :)

We used to go to Warners regularly at Sinah Warren and Harry would organise the football for the week... The visitors against the staff, and there was a keen young player among the visitors named Keith Ball who apparently was Kenny's son. :)

Thanks to Karl for sending me Kenny Ball's "Greatest Hits" CD as it is one of my favorites to listen to while driving.
May Your "Midnight In Moscow" be your "Eastside of Heaven".....R.I.P., Kenny
