L&H do you remember the glory days of Eurovision when each conductor handed the baton over to the next one and we knew many of them? I think Raymond Lefevre was there one year.

Eurovision was fun and exciting then and we used to watch the Song For Europe with the six songs sung by Cliff, Sandie, Kathy or Lulu or whoever was appearing that year.

I wonder if we would do better with a younger star like Adele or Emile Sande?

Anyway I gave up watching it years ago.

Those glory days of Eurovision have long gone Karl, when the songs were genuinely judged.
The younger singers that we have don't want the humiliation of coming near the bottom, and they are earning enough as it is anyway. :)

The judging is too politically motivated nowadays, just ask Azerbaijan and Russia
