LIONEL BART: REVIEWING THE SITUATION

Did anyone see this hour-long documentary on BBC4 last week? Interesing insight into Lionel and his work. Still available to view on bbciplayer. He was Jewish, just like most of the Broadway composers (there was a really good edition of the arts programme Imagine on BBC1 a few weeks ago about that very subject); seems the only one who wasn't was Cole Porter.

Didn't realise this was on, but no doubt it will be repeated if it's BBC4

Is this a repeat-I seem to remember seeing something with Lionel Bart a few years back.

No, it was billed as a brand new programme: I certainly hadn't seen it before.

It might just mean it was new to BBC4--I will cjheck ouyt Iplayer and find out-what day was it on. ?
